It has been TEN amazing years! I wanted to give my husband something he'd remember, and tin cuff links or a personalized BBQ set just didn't seem to be the thing for my guy. So, I went and came up with something that was just the thing (actually ten things) for him. The Ten Year Anniversary is the year of tin/aluminum. The pliability of tin and aluminum is a symbol of how a successful marriage needs to be flexible and durable and how it can be bent without being broken.
So I came up with ten gifts to be opened the ten days leading up to our tenth anniversary. Each day there was a note to open with a little saying about the gift.
I strung up the notes as you can see in the picture, and numbered the gifts that were stacked on the table beneath the string of notes. I'll share with you the notes I came up with and the gift that went along with it. I tried to stay in the realm of tin and aluminum. Some of the gifts I purchased online or through etsy and I'll share those links with you so you can find and do this yourself if you'd like.

I should mention that the gift wrapping and number idea came after purchasing some twine from ans awesome Etsy seller. When the twine arrived, it was packaged with the cutest little trinkets. I conversed back and forth with her to see if she could come up with a number idea for me to put with the gifts. The numbered tags you see are her creation, not mine. She made this come together perfectly. Please visit her shop for twine and more!
